For the last ten years, the Rencontres de la Villette has been promoting urban culture and encouraging its artistic experiences.
The festival is nowadays considered the liveliest in this field and became the witness of marginal culture’s great diversity.

Hip-Hop Dance
Introducing the new generation of hip-hop dancers. S’Poart, X-Press, Ultimatum Step, Ultime, Collectif 6ème Sens, TSN, Khady Fofana will introduce their social thematics and their personal universe. Less traditional, the following artists are pushing the frontiers of dancing, either solo (Bouba Landrille Tchouda, Yiphun Chiem ou Karim Amghar) or in groups with other types of dancers (Hip Tap Project, De Fakto, Danses en l’R).
Theater
Theater is can take quite experimental shapes in Urban Culture. Discover’s Dieudonné Niangouna’s open aire monologue or Nicolas Bonneau’s storytelling. Find the schedule here.

And in the end… DJs
Appart from light painting, amateur hip hop, “participative” exhibitions, you will also have the opportunity to shake your body a little bit.
The best DJs will perform sets every Saturday at the Cabaret Sauvage.
