Madagascan Culture Sunday
Spend a Sunday at the Cabaret Sauvage and forget about the greyness of the winter. Right inside the Park of “La Villette”, this wooden theatre looks like a circus, endowed with dozens of mirrors where suede curtain reflect. There is a wide choice of drinks and prices are reasonable (soft 3€, cocktails 6€). On January 20th, the Cabaret Sauvage takes you to the universe of Madagascar.
Exhibitions, concerts, dancing and storytelling about the island will be performed the whole afternoon and on the evening. With his shots taken from above, Thierry Barbier takes us to a journey through cultural traditions of Madagascar, also known as “Great Red Island”.
From 3 pm to 7 pm, Razilio and other artists will sing every day life in the island. Kilema and his musicians, using typical instruments with dexterity will give you an overview of the musical colours of the former French colony. Vocals of Mavana and its band will tell a musical story « Volanoro », on the rhythms of drums and traditional dances.

At 7.30 pm, Kilema and it’s singer, Clément Randrianotoandro – from south-east Madagascar – will perform another show, as he has been doing during the last decade, travelling with Madagascan music all over the world.
