Happy February
Don’t know what to do in Paris? You have read your city guidebook and haven’t found any exciting event to attend… If the Fashion week is not your thing, it is not ours either. We suggest that you take a look at these articles, we hope to show you things that most tourist guidebooks do not mention.
If you have never been to the eastern districts of Paris, a good way to explore them is to follow the cortege of the Carnaval de Paris. If you are crazy about flea markets or simply enjoy Sunday walks, you will find what you need at the great bric-a-brac fair on the hills of the Parc des Buttes Chaumont, which offers a wonderful view over the whole Paris. If you prefer the city from under the bridges, you might appreciate a sightseeing tour on the canals in La Villette district. Of course, if you consider the weather too cold for outdoor activities, we recommend the French Pop Festival “Les Inaperçus”, a little bit of dancing will warm you up. Talking about dancing, the Studio Le Regard du Cygne and its thriving artistic community organize a contemporary dance art performance, le Cabaret des Signes, also including theater, music, other forms of art, and of course good food. If you really think it’s freezing, you might want to go to… Africa. The Black Culture Festival has a comprehensive program (painting, photography, theater, and more) and invites us to aprehend the diversity of African Diaspora all over the world.
Discover Faso, a “social painter” in Paris, and enjoy a pastis with Djamorkestar Brass Band. Have you ever dreamed of a crazy tango dance in the sky? Well, if not, we understand, it is not really something that many people dream of… Anyways, you will experience it for real with Cécile and César’s Aerobatics/Tango show.
