Six large-framed paintings are exhibited at the « Espace Canopy ». The main theme is vulnerability of being: the baby’s first cry, learning of life, vulnerability of the body.

Theo Appel
Theo Appel is an American painter, living in the 18th district of Paris. His figurative paintings usually amaze spectators: from the tiniest to the greatest, from close to far, his paintings seem to be in relief. He uses oil and always proceeds with small dots. “Little brushes for big paintings”, he says. As he worked as a photographer, some elements of his technique remain in his paintings, such close-ups, light effects or grain.
